A bit about me
I was born in the UK and raised in New Zealand, moving to Australia in 2011 after the Christchurch earthquake. I met my wife, Bessie, in Sydney before we moved to Brisbane in 2015 when we started attending Kenmore Baptist Church. I was introduced to Jesus when my Dad was saved in 2002 - when I was 12 years old. Seeing the transformation in his life led me to give my life to the Lord at the age of 13, but sadly I turned away from him for several years. At my lowest point, I attended church and recommitted my life to Christ. I remember walking into the room and physically feeling the presence of God - I couldn't deny it. I still remember the feeling of the void in my heart being filled by His love that day.

Why I do it
I have a heart for the local church and specifically, Riverlife. My role as Worship Pastoral Assistant has allowed me to help create a bridge between the creative and technical aspects of worship. In a similar way, when the opportunity opened for me to join the Facilities team, I felt it was a way to connect my professional experience in relationship management and logistical planning with my heart for engaging the broader community into our environment.
