I grew up in Sydney, Auckland and Melbourne before moving to Brisbane to start high school. I studied Commerce at UQ and worked for 10 years at a Chartered Accounting firm before moving to a CFO role in a financial planning firm. My family have been a part of Riverlife since the 1980s and I've worked on staff as the Administrator and now Business Manager part-time since 2008. I love playing and watching just about any sport that is going around, particularly tennis. I've been married to Louise since 1988, have three kids now in their 20s and two grandsons.

After the sale of a financial planning business that I part-owned in 2007, I felt a clear call from God to use my skills in other areas. It led me to a career change that saw me take on the part-time role of Administrator at Kenmore Baptist Church, which of course is now Riverlife. Journeying alongside the team as we transitioned from KBC to Riverlife was definitely a milestone, and it’s incredible to think how far God has taken us as a church over the years. I may have a few more grey hairs as a result, but it has definitely been worth it!

I’ve always enjoyed all things numbers and administration, which is why I’d make a terrible pastor!
