Three people, two men and one woman, are outdoors smiling and talking to each other.

There is one body
and one Spirit

Four people are engaged in conversation in a busy foyer.

Church membership is a commitment to a spiritual family, fostering deep, multigenerational connections and discipleship within a local community.

About Membership

Membership in a church is a covenant with a local body of believers, rooted in the biblical idea of being baptised into ‘one body’ (Ephesians 4). Unlike the transient nature of modern life, the New Testament church was deeply embedded in its community, fostering multigenerational connections. Membership in a church represents a commitment to a spiritual family where individuals invest their time, resources, and legacy.

Membership is free and all members have the right to vote on important decisions that influence Riverlife as a church, such as the appointment of a new Senior Pastor. Members will be invited to regular Member Meetings to learn about organisational items related to finances, leadership and governance.
