God is moving in Madurai
It's been 15 years of partnering together and this is what God is up to...
“It’s been a hard time over the last four years,” shares Pastor Israel. “But God has made a way over that time.”

We want to celebrate how God is moving in Madurai, India!
Since 2008, Riverlife has been supporting the work of Prince of Peace Church and Shalom Children’s Home, which provides accommodation for orphaned and at-risk children and runs village homework clubs and mobile medical clinics.
Despite setbacks, challenges and persecution, these ministries in Madurai are continuing to grow. In fact, Prince of Peace just finished its fourth rebuild because it keeps getting bigger.
You may not realise it, but you have been supporting the growth of this Indian community in different ways over the last 15 years – what a gift to be able to be part of the global Church, supporting one another!
Pastor Israel visited Brisbane in August and it was exciting to pray with him, learn from him, and send him home with a copy of our Transforming discipleship course, translated in Prince of Peace’s local language! Now the church will be able to use this discipleship material to grow the congregation. It’s a project that’s slowly taken shape over the last couple of years.
“It’s been a hard time over the last four years,” shares Pastor Israel. “But God has made a way over that time.”
“During COVID, we were able to build new staff quarters at our school, so staff could live onsite and continue to teach.”
Pastor Israel says discipleship is something his church wants to grow in. “I want them to look outwards, go out of their comfort zones, and help them start talking about Jesus,” he says.
