Responding practically to the needs in our local community!

Street Teams offer free, practical support to those experiencing acute, sudden need or enduring hardship in the local community. This may involve mowing yards, trimming trees, cleaning windows and paths and offering a word of encouragement.

At Riverlife, we believe that the church is the church only when it exists for others!

Riverlife’s Street Teams seeks to be a living illustration of God’s great love and an example of stepping into situations, chaos, facing barriers and challenges to get involved. We believe where there are needs, we have a responsibility to open our eyes, get involved and respond practically – so we go out every first and third Saturday morning of each month to serve in areas of greatest need.

In addition, when an acute crisis hits, such as the 2011 floods or the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Street Teams increases its response activity for as long as is required to support the most vulnerable.

Street Teams is comprised of volunteers who come together at Riverlife, united through a passion to demonstrate God’s love to those around them and connected together as Riverlife family sees need in their friendship or social networks, within their local neighbourhoods, school community, workplaces and local businesses.

If you would like to request a visit from Street Teams or know someone who needs assistance around their property, please click here. Our friendly team will get back to you within five working days.

The team is unable to assist with home relocation, waste/dump runs or jobs that require ladders or scaffolding.
