Foundations is a Riverlife Kids Ministry initiative for children in Grade 6 to explore and go deeper in their faith.  All grade six children are invited to register and participate.   

FOUNDATIONS 2026 starts on August 16. 

COMMITMENT

Foundations participants commit to twelve Sunday sessions during school terms, plus an all-day Saturday Foundations Weekend on 17 October. Foundations is a 3hr program starting at 8.30am. Arriving on time is part of the commitment to signing up for Foundations.

Our goal is to see each group of children flourish in community and grow in their relationship with Jesus with the help of Holy Spirit. Foundations depends on the generosity of a hand-picked team of young adult mentors, giving their time and gifts to invest into their groups. A vital element for the success of Foundations are the prayers of parents, students and the wider church that support and uphold this ministry each year.

COST 

$200 covers costs for all excursions, activities and food inclusive of the Foundations Weekend. Participants are given a Foundations bible to use throughout and keep. Due to the length of each session, a substantial morning tea is included each Sunday.

LOCATION 

The group will be involved in activities both on and off the Riverlife premises with various engaging spiritual, fun and practical serving opportunities. From time-to-time excursions require an earlier start from the regular Foundations time of 8.30am to 11.30am. 

INFORMATION SESSION

All Grade 6 students and their children are encouraged to attend an Information Session on Sunday 21 June, 11am in the Chapel. No bookings necessary.
