A BIT ABOUT ME

I came reluctantly to pastoring in 2007, from working as a radio journalist, and God has proven faithful every step of the way. I am passionate about God, His presence that changes everything, the Bible, and helping people experience the transformational power of God in their daily lives. In my current role as Senior Pastor, I lead the congregation’s teaching and pastoral care, work with staff and volunteers to shape our long-term vision, and prioritise fostering healthy discipleship, mission and community life.

I’m married to the amazing Penny, have four awesome kids — Noah, Isaac, Judah and Rose — and I love them all and their wonderfully different ways of looking at life. I love to read, I LOVE music, playing board games, watching movies, and talking about almost anything.

MOST DEFINING MOMENT

The moment I encountered the tangible, physical presence of God. He went from real to ‘really real’ in an instant, and I knew it had to change everything about my life.

WHY I DO IT

Because Jesus did it for me. God has changed my life, and I want everyone to know that He’s really real and He loves them! 

“I have been crucified with Christ - it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”(Galatians 2:20)
