A BIT ABOUT ME

My family and I moved to Brisbane in January 1987 and soon after began attending KBC. I’ve been part of the church community ever since, giving my life to Jesus in Grade 10 and later being baptised at the legendary Jan Camp in the Brisbane River in 1994. 

I’m happily married to Kerri, and we have two wonderful daughters who love being part of Riverlife’s Kids and Youth ministries. Over the years, I’ve served in a number of ministries, particularly Directions, Youth, camps and Horizons Adventures, first as a participant and later as a leader. Being outdoors has always been one of the ways I connect best with God, and those experiences have played an important part in shaping my faith and understanding of who God was calling me to be.  

I completed my electrical apprenticeship in 2004 and worked as an electrician until taking on this role at the start of February 2026. God has given me a practical mindset and a servant heart, and I enjoy using both to support the life of the church.

MOST DEFINING MOMENT

Giving my life to Jesus in Grade 10 was one of the most defining moments of my life. My decision to follow Him has shaped the direction of my life ever since. 

Looking back, I can see God’s faithfulness through many seasons — Youth ministry, outdoor adventures, family, work and now serving at Riverlife. He has used experiences, skills and passions in my life in ways I could never have planned, continually drawing me towards His purposes. 

WHY I DO IT

In my previous role in electrical construction and project leadership, I learned to solve practical problems, take responsibility and see projects completed to a high standard. I’ve always found satisfaction in doing things well and going beyond what is expected.
