Identity in Christ Part 1: Declared Righteous
Scripture anchor: Romans 4:1–25
Elder Chris Knott begins part one of our three-part series on identity. Striving for validation through identity labels or good deeds is a trap; God's grace has always been accessed through faith, not performance.
Ultimately, the Gospel shifts our focus from 'Who am I?' to 'Whose am I?' While identities rooted in human constructs are fragile and unfulfilling, trusting Jesus anchors us permanently within God’s covenant family. We receive a secure, unchanging identity rooted entirely in His mercy, where our deepest desires for belonging can finally be satisfied.
