“My vision is to see generation after generation passionately pursuing God’s manifest presence and being filled with a desire to unleash unprecedented levels of compassion to the world.”

You might say I was born and bred in this church… well nearly. I grew up here from my pre-teen years, but if you happened to be around back then, you may not have seen a great deal of me because I didn’t begin to journey with Jesus in a life-transforming way until I was about 19 years old. It was about then that my life radically altered, and it changed the way I wanted to spend my life for Jesus.

I became more and more passionate about serving God through the church and enjoyed seeing the impact God was having on others, so much so that when I was 26 years old, I left teaching to become the Youth and Young Adult Pastor.

It was only a few years before in 1994 that I married Robyn. It sounds gushy but Robyn and I complement each other… she’s beautiful and I’m less so; she moves fast and I move at a slightly slower pace. Robyn and I share a passion for the nations and she has worked in the development sector across the world for the past 20 years. It was this combined passion for the nations that saw us spend a year living and working in Chennai in 2004/05. Upon returning from India, I took on the role of Executive Pastor and then Senior Pastor in 2012.

I love seeing people truly come alive in the love of Jesus and live out who He is calling them to be. More than anything, I desire to see a family of people encountering God’s presence and allowing His love to move them with compassion to share Him with others. As a church, we believe God is calling us to impact our city, nation and the nations of the world. I am incredibly blessed to be on this journey with such an awesome church family and a team of friends that give of themselves so generously to the cause of Jesus.

Of course, my own family is worth a mention too. They support me through the inevitable ups and downs of ministry. Robyn and I have been blessed with two boys Jake and Liam who are full of life and share our love of adventure, travel, food, friends and family.
